ServiceNow’s Project and Portfolio Management Has Launched

Thursday, February 15, 2024

Need to improve the way you manage your organization’s portfolio of projects?  Or simply do a better job of tracking each project from beginning to end?  University IT’s Portfolio Management (PPM) application, which allows your business unit to monitor projects from proposal through completion, is now a service you can request today!

Benefits of PPM

Jointly managed and supported by the University IT (UIT) Project Management Office and UIT ServiceNow team, PPM helps business units make better decisions, optimize resource utilization, mitigate risks, enhance communication, and execute projects to effectively achieve strategic goals.

Within the PPM platform, you can:

  • Capture critical information about project background, scope, and resource needs.
  • Record and maintain high-level project information and submit project status reports.
  • View resource needs for each demand in the pipeline to plan for the future.

Explore the PPM toolkit to learn more.

More about the service

Originally launched within UIT in 2019, this application provides a comprehensive view of the project work underway within a business unit. Your Stanford colleagues are already using PPM –– the Office of the Chief Risk Officer (OCRO) and Student and Academic Services (SAS) successfully launched the application last fall.

To get started, request a ServiceNow PPM demo or implementation for your business unit.
